If you are a new dad or going to be a new dad, you are going to really enjoy the experience of reading the Real Dad Blog. I am also a new dad of a big baby boy named Rylan. This is going to be a permanent page so you need to figure out my sons age. His birthday is October 17th, 2008.
Going through the experience of being a father is an awesome thing. I am excited that my first child is a boy. I feel that is the same of the majority fathers. They hope that is a boy so they can teach them to do boy things. I do hope some day I do have a girl. If you keep reading this blog, you will find out someday if I do have a girl or not. I need to have a daddy’s girl. I told my wife that we will keep on trying until we have one of each. 10 children? Who knows? Being a dad is the best job in the world!
If your first child is a girl, I guarantee you are going to be just as happy. We did not know the sex of our first child until Rylan was born.
You will find out my trials and tribulations of being a new dad. I do have a lot of help from my wife. Of course she is a new mom. We get to grow together as parents. That is an awesome thing.
So far what I have learned from being a new dad is that you get to use not getting enough sleep for the first few months and then your child may or may not sleep like a dream child. I am lucky that my child does sleep like a dream child. He does sleep over 12 hours at night
. Call me lucky. I know that is not the way for a lot of parents.
Being a new dad you will learn a lot of things. Parents are great to get suggestions from. So are friends with children. This is a life experience. Keep on reading the dad blog and keep on commenting. We can help the new dads grow into read dads.
